Reservation Procedure

The CEMA Online Group code is 3100256. You can book your reservation by one of the following options:

Call the LaPlaya Reservations Department at 800-237-6883 and reference CEMA
Visit LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort’s website at LaPlayaResort.com. Select the icon “Book Now”, enter in the dates of stay and the group code 3100256. The group code must be entered in order to receive the group rates offered.
3.) Visiting your designated group link: Reservations (LaPlayaResort.com). Guests will need to enter in their dates of stay

The resort requires a one night’s room and tax deposit with each individual reservation. Individuals canceling less than seven days prior to the scheduled arrival date will forfeit their deposit.

FAQs

What is the cancellation policy?

FOR REGISTRATION FEES: You may send a substitute in your place at any time. To request a refund (less a $100 service charge), notify Karen at CEMA (Karen@CEMAnet.org) of your cancellation in writing no later than noon on May 10. NO REFUNDS can be issued for cancellation after this date.

FOR HOTEL: You must cancel hotel reservations by 4:00 pm seven (7) days prior to your arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee of one night’s room and tax.

I have a question about or need to change my registration. Who should I contact?

Will paper handouts be available at the Conference?

No. You will receive links to minutes from the last meetings and to agendas for the June conference via email in advance.

In addition, overnight every evening during the conference you will receive an email with the schedule for the following day including links to the agendas for that day's meetings. Finally, QR codes will be posted each day linking to the agendas. *If you would like your daily emails send to an address other than your primary work email, there's a place to list that second email on your registration. If you've already registered, you can send that alternate email address to Angela@cemanet.org.

What is the dress code for the Conference?

Comfortable, casual dress is appropriate for the day sessions. Sportswear is customary -- golf shirts and khakis or shorts for men; slacks, shorts or skirts/dresses for women.

For Tuesday evening's dinner, the look is professional but relaxed. A button-up and slacks are perfect attire for men, but a sport coat is welcome if that's more your style. Pantsuits, slack and a blouse, or skirts / dresses are all perfect for women.

Are continuing education credits available?

Yes! We have revamped this following research into major states' requirements, to aid you in getting credit for attending.

All attendees will receive personalized Certificates of Attendance for each Conference session they attend for submission to their certifying organizations as proof of continuing professional education. Each certificate will include:

the specific sessions attended (based on the sign-in sheets, so be sure to sign in at each sessions)
the topics covered in those sessions,
the duration of each session, and
the leader(s) of each session (Chair and/or Vice Chair).

What meals are included in my registration fee?

What if I want to arrive early, or stay a few days longer?

The quoted hotel rates are available 3 nights before and 3 nights after the Conference, subject to the hotel having availability. Plan as far ahead as possible for the best options.
